JA Meat Kagoshima delivers "Kagoshima Black Cattle," a brand wagyu proudly produced in Kagoshima Prefecture, to customers within Japan and overseas. 1. Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu, the brand that won first place in the Wagyu Olympics.

Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu is a brand of wagyu that was awarded the Prime Minister's Award, the highest prize in the breeding cattle division, at the 2022 National Competitive Exhibition of Wagyu, an event held once every five years, and is recognized as the best in Japan. Furthermore, with first-place finishes in six of the nine divisions, its meat quality and overall quality have been recognized as top-class nationwide. Thanks to these achievements, Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu is known not only in Japan but also overseas as a leading Japanese wagyu brand.

3. World-class quality control and traceability from production to processing

Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu not only offers deliciousness but also boasts a robust system for safety and security.
Every cattle is assigned an individual identification number, and a beef traceability system has been introduced, allowing consumers to check the production area and rearing history.
Furthermore, JA Meat Kagoshima conducts voluntary inspections and quality checks in addition to official inspections at its Minamisatsu and Kanoya plants within the prefecture. The Minamisatsu plant has acquired ISO22000 certification as an authorized overseas export facility, establishing a hygiene and quality control system that meets both domestic and international standards.
Through these initiatives, Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu is a wagyu brand provided under reliable management from production to processing and distribution.
